8112fa72b7 drm/amdgpu: add error handle to avoid out-of-bounds
commit 8b2faf1a4f3b6c748c0da36cda865a226534d520 upstream.

if the sdma_v4_0_irq_id_to_seq return -EINVAL, the process should
be stop to avoid out-of-bounds read, so directly return -EINVAL.

f4b3d2585b drm/bridge: tc358775: fix support for jeida-18 and jeida-24
[ Upstream commit 30ea09a182cb37c4921b9d477ed18107befe6d78 ]

The bridge always uses 24bpp internally. Therefore, for jeida-18
mapping we need to discard the lowest two bits for each channel and thus
starting with LV_[RGB]2. jeida-24 has the same mapping but uses four
lanes instead of three, with the forth pair transmitting the lowest two
bits of each channel. Thus, the mapping between jeida-18 and jeida-24
is actually the same, except that one channel is turned off (by
selecting the RGB666 format in VPCTRL).

While at it, remove the bogus comment about the hardware default because
the default is overwritten in any case.

Tested with a jeida-18 display (Evervision VGG644804).

96b9ed94dc drm/msm/dpu: Always flush the slave INTF on the CTL
[ Upstream commit 2b938c3ab0a69ec6ea587bbf6fc2aec3db4a8736 ]

As we can clearly see in a downstream kernel [1], flushing the slave INTF
is skipped /only if/ the PPSPLIT topology is active.

However, when DPU was originally submitted to mainline PPSPLIT was no
longer part of it (seems to have been ripped out before submission), but
this clause was incorrectly ported from the original SDE driver. Given
that there is no support for PPSPLIT (currently), flushing the slave
INTF should /never/ be skipped (as the `if (ppsplit && !master) goto
skip;` clause downstream never becomes true).

eb9635b4a9 drm/mipi-dsi: use correct return type for the DSC functions
[ Upstream commit de1c705c50326acaceaf1f02bc5bf6f267c572bd ]

The functions mipi_dsi_compression_mode() and
mipi_dsi_picture_parameter_set() return 0-or-error rather than a buffer
size. Follow example of other similar MIPI DSI functions and use int
return type instead of size_t.

5d344b3089 drm/panel: simple: Add missing Innolux G121X1-L03 format, flags, connector
[ Upstream commit 11ac72d033b9f577e8ba0c7a41d1c312bb232593 ]

The .bpc = 6 implies .bus_format = MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB666_1X7X3_SPWG ,
add the missing bus_format. Add missing connector type and bus_flags
as well.

Documentation [1] 1.4 GENERAL SPECIFICATI0NS indicates this panel is
capable of both RGB 18bit/24bit panel, the current configuration uses
18bit mode, .bus_format = MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB666_1X7X3_SPWG , .bpc = 6.

Support for the 24bit mode would require another entry in panel-simple
with .bus_format = MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB666_1X7X4_SPWG and .bpc = 8, which
is out of scope of this fix.

probe reason available and avoids alerting userspace about something

04bc4d1090 drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function
[ Upstream commit 63ae548f1054a0b71678d0349c7dc9628ddd42ca ]

Fixes index out of bounds issue in the color transformation function.
The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer
function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS).

The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the
transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, an error message is
logged and the function returns false to indicate an error.

5b4d14a0bc drm/amdkfd: Flush the process wq before creating a kfd_process
[ Upstream commit f5b9053398e70a0c10aa9cb4dd5910ab6bc457c5 ]

There is a race condition when re-creating a kfd_process for a process.
This has been observed when a process under the debugger executes
exec(3). In this scenario:
- The process executes exec.
 - This will eventually release the process's mm, which will cause the
kfd_process object associated with the process to be freed
(kfd_process_free_notifier decrements the reference count to the
kfd_process to 0). This causes kfd_process_ref_release to enqueue
   kfd_process_wq_release to the kfd_process_wq.
- The debugger receives the PTRACE_EVENT_EXEC notification, and tries to
  re-enable AMDGPU traps (KFD_IOC_DBG_TRAP_ENABLE).
 - When handling this request, KFD tries to re-create a kfd_process.
This eventually calls kfd_create_process and kobject_init_and_add.

At this point the call to kobject_init_and_add can fail because the
old kfd_process.kobj has not been freed yet by kfd_process_wq_release.

This patch proposes to avoid this race by making sure to drain
kfd_process_wq before creating a new kfd_process object. This way, we
know that any cleanup task is done executing when we reach
kobject_init_and_add.

ce4609a54d ANDROID: mark DRM_VMWGFX as BROKEN
Due to many abi reverts in Android kernels, this driver is no longer
building properly and fixing it up would be pointles as it is not part
of any Android system. So mark it as BROKEN to allow 'allmodconfig'
builds to properly continue to work.

No functional change at all for any Android users.

3cd682357c drm/vmwgfx: Fix invalid reads in fence signaled events
commit a37ef7613c00f2d72c8fc08bd83fb6cc76926c8c upstream.

Correctly set the length of the drm_event to the size of the structure
that's actually used.

The length of the drm_event was set to the parent structure instead of
to the drm_vmw_event_fence which is supposed to be read. drm_read
uses the length parameter to copy the event to the user space thus
resuling in oob reads.

e09096291f drm/nouveau/dp: Don't probe eDP ports twice harder
[ Upstream commit bf52d7f9b2067f02efe7e32697479097aba4a055 ]

I didn't pay close enough attention the last time I tried to fix this
problem - while we currently do correctly take care to make sure we don't
probe a connected eDP port more then once, we don't do the same thing for
eDP ports we found to be disconnected.

So, fix this and make sure we only ever probe eDP ports once and then leave
them at that connector state forever (since without HPD, it's not going to
change on its own anyway). This should get rid of the last few GSP errors
getting spit out during runtime suspend and resume on some machines, as we
tried to reprobe eDP ports in response to ACPI hotplug probe events.

09888cff32 gpu: host1x: Do not setup DMA for virtual devices
[ Upstream commit 8ab58f6841b19423231c5db3378691ec80c778f8 ]

The host1x devices are virtual compound devices and do not perform DMA
accesses themselves, so they do not need to be set up for DMA.

Ideally we would also not need to set up DMA masks for the virtual
devices, but we currently still need those for legacy support on old
hardware.

Adding any sort of useful debug usually makes it go away, so I hand
wrote the function in a line, and debugged the asm.

Every so often pt->memory->ptrs is NULL. This ptrs ptr is set in
the nv50_instobj_acquire called from nvkm_kmap.

If Thread A and Thread B both get to nv50_instobj_acquire around
the same time, and Thread A hits the refcount_set line, and in
lockstep thread B succeeds at refcount_inc_not_zero, there is a
chance the ptrs value won't have been stored since refcount_set
is unordered. Force a memory barrier here, I picked smp_mb, since
we want it on all CPUs and it's write followed by a read.

v2: use paired smp_rmb/smp_wmb.

097c7918fc drm: nv04: Fix out of bounds access
[ Upstream commit cf92bb778eda7830e79452c6917efa8474a30c1e ]

When Output Resource (dcb->or) value is assigned in
fabricate_dcb_output(), there may be out of bounds access to
dac_users array in case dcb->or is zero because ffs(dcb->or) is
used as index there.
The 'or' argument of fabricate_dcb_output() must be interpreted as a
number of bit to set, not value.

Utilize macros from 'enum nouveau_or' in calls instead of hardcoding.

The modes[] array contains pointers to modes on the connectors'

fe34587acc drm/i915/gt: Reset queue_priority_hint on parking
commit 4a3859ea5240365d21f6053ee219bb240d520895 upstream.

Originally, with strict in order execution, we could complete execution
only when the queue was empty. Preempt-to-busy allows replacement of an
active request that may complete before the preemption is processed by
HW. If that happens, the request is retired from the queue, but the
queue_priority_hint remains set, preventing direct submission until
after the next CS interrupt is processed.

This preempt-to-busy race can be triggered by the heartbeat, which will
also act as the power-management barrier and upon completion allow us to
idle the HW. We may process the completion of the heartbeat, and begin
parking the engine before the CS event that restores the
queue_priority_hint, causing us to fail the assertion that it is MIN.

9aaa60f35b drm/panel: do not return negative error codes from drm_panel_get_modes()
[ Upstream commit fc4e97726530241d96dd7db72eb65979217422c9 ]

None of the callers of drm_panel_get_modes() expect it to return
negative error codes. Either they propagate the return value in their
struct drm_connector_helper_funcs .get_modes() hook (which is also not
supposed to return negative codes), or add it to other counts leading to
bogus values.

On the other hand, many of the struct drm_panel_funcs .get_modes() hooks
do return negative error codes, so handle them gracefully instead of
propagating further.

Return 0 for no modes, whatever the reason.

37005a1b85 drm/etnaviv: Restore some id values
[ Upstream commit b735ee173f84d5d0d0733c53946a83c12d770d05 ]

The hwdb selection logic as a feature that allows it to mark some fields
as 'don't care'. If we match with such a field we memcpy(..)
the current etnaviv_chip_identity into ident.

This step can overwrite some id values read from the GPU with the
'don't care' value.

Fix this issue by restoring the affected values after the memcpy(..).

As this is crucial for user space to know when this feature works as
expected increment the minor version too.

c560327d90 drm/vmwgfx: Fix possible null pointer derefence with invalid contexts
[ Upstream commit 517621b7060096e48e42f545fa6646fc00252eac ]

vmw_context_cotable can return either an error or a null pointer and its
usage sometimes went unchecked. Subsequent code would then try to access
either a null pointer or an error value.

The invalid dereferences were only possible with malformed userspace
apps which never properly initialized the rendering contexts.

Check the results of vmw_context_cotable to fix the invalid derefs.
