76bfd89844 net: sctp: reorder sctp_globals to reduce cacheline usage
Reduce cacheline usage from 2 to 1 cacheline for sctp_globals structure. By
reordering elements, we can close gaps and simply achieve the following:

Current situation:
  /* size: 80, cachelines: 2, members: 10 */
  /* sum members: 57, holes: 4, sum holes: 16 */
  /* padding: 7 */
  /* last cacheline: 16 bytes */

Afterwards:
  /* size: 64, cachelines: 1, members: 10 */
  /* padding: 7 */

faf967068e perf evlist: Move perf_evlist__config() to a new source file
perf_evlist__config() must be moved to a separate source file to avoid
Python link errors when adding support for PERF_SAMPLE_IDENTIFIER.

It is appropriate to do this because perf_evlist__config() is a helper
function for event recording. It is used by tools to apply recording
options to perf_evlist. It is not used by the Python API.

ff3d527ceb perf: make events stream always parsable
The event stream is not always parsable because the format of a sample
is dependent on the sample_type of the selected event. When there is
more than one selected event and the sample_types are not the same then
parsing becomes problematic. A sample can be matched to its selected
event using the ID that is allocated when the event is opened.
Unfortunately, to get the ID from the sample means first parsing it.

This patch adds a new sample format bit PERF_SAMPLE_IDENTIFER that puts
the ID at a fixed position so that the ID can be retrieved without
parsing the sample. For sample events, that is the first position
immediately after the header. For non-sample events, that is the last
position.

In this respect parsing samples requires that the sample_type and ID
values are recorded. For example, perf tools records struct
perf_event_attr and the IDs within the perf.data file. Those must be
read first before it is possible to parse samples found later in the
perf.data file.

69ca3e58d1 regulator: da9063: Add Dialog DA9063 voltage regulators support.
The driver adds support for the following DA9063 PMIC regulators:
 - 11x LDOs (named LDO1 - LDO11),
 - 6x buck converters (BCORE1, BCORE2, BPRO, BMEM, BIO, BPERI),

Regulators provide following operations:
 - REGULATOR_CHANGE_STATUS and REGULATOR_CHANGE_VOLTAGE for all regulators,
 - REGULATOR_CHANGE_MODE for LDOs and buck converters, where:
     - LDOs allow REGULATOR_MODE_NORMAL and REGULATOR_MODE_STANDBY,
     - buck converters allow REGULATOR_MODE_FAST, REGULATOR_MODE_NORMAL
       and REGULATOR_MODE_STANDBY,
 - REGULATOR_CHANGE_CURRENT for buck converters (current limits).

The driver generates REGULATOR_EVENT_OVER_CURRENT for LDO3, LDO4, LDO7, LDO8
and LDO11.

Internally, PMIC provides two voltage configurations for normal and suspend
system state for each regulator. The driver switches between those on
suspend/wake-up to provide quick and fluent output voltage change.

This driver requires MFD core driver for operation.

8127d661e7 sfc: Add support for Solarflare SFC9100 family
This adds support for the EF10 network controller architecture and the
SFC9100 family, starting with SFC9120 'Farmingdale', and bumps the
driver version to 4.0.

New features in the SFC9100 family include:

- Flexible allocation of internal resources to PCIe physical and virtual
  functions under firmware control
- RX event merging to reduce DMA writes at high packet rates
- Integrated RX timestamping
- PIO buffers for lower TX latency
- Firmware-driven data path that supports additional offload features
  and filter types
- Delivery of packets between functions and to multiple recipients,
allowing firmware to implement a vswitch
- Multiple RX flow hash (RSS) contexts with their own hash keys and
  indirection tables
- 40G MAC (single port only)

...not all of which are enabled in this initial driver or the initial
firmware release.

Much of the new code is by Jon Cooper.

29eb51a728 irqchip: sirf: move from legacy mode to linear irqdomain
the series of patches for irqdomain core in 3.11 has broken sirf
irq which uses legacy mapping. all users fail in the new kernel
while setupping irq.

this patch moves to linear irqdomain and drop old legacy irqdomain
codes since we don't need it any more, and at the same time, it
also fixes the broken interrupts of sirfsoc in 3.11.

on the other hand, we actually only have 64 interrupt sources for
prima2 and atlas6, but there are 128 interrupt souces for marco
which uses GIC. in the legacy codes, sirf gpio also uses legacy
irqdomain, so to make gpio interrupt mapping not depend on the
prima2/atlas6/marco an use unified marco,we enlarge prima2/atlas6
interrupt number to 128. here we don't need this workaround any
more as sirf gpio also moved to linear mode before. so we move
SIRFSOC_NUM_IRQS back to 64 too.

9b9ae16a97 ASoC: Samsung: Do not queue cyclic buffers multiple times
The legacy S3C-DMA API required every period of a cyclic buffer to be
queued separately. After conversion of Samsung ASoC to Samsung DMA
wrappers somebody made an assumption that the same is needed for DMA
engine API, which is not true.

In effect, Samsung ASoC DMA code was queuing the whole cyclic buffer
multiple times with a shift of one period per iteration, leading to:
  a) severe memory waste - up to 13x times more DMA transfer descriptors
     are allocated than needed,
  b) possible memory corruption, because further cyclic buffers were out
of the original buffers, due to the offset.

This patch fixes this problem by making the legacy S3C-DMA API use the
same semantics as DMA engine (the whole cyclic buffer is enqueued at
once) and modifying users of Samsung DMA wrappers in cyclic mode to
behave appropriately.

Move cyttsp4_core_sleep(), cyttsp4_core_wake(), and cyttsp4_core_wake_()

84a5b7300c xfs: don't account buffer cancellation during log recovery readahead
When doing readhaead in log recovery, we check to see if buffers are
cancelled before doing readahead. If we find a cancelled buffer,
however, we always decrement the reference count we have on it, and
that means that readahead is causing a double decrement of the
cancelled buffer reference count.

This results in log recovery *replaying cancelled buffers* as the
actual recovery pass does not find the cancelled buffer entry in the
commit phase of the second pass across a transaction. On debug
kernels, this results in an ASSERT failure like so:

XFS: Assertion failed: !(flags & XFS_BLF_CANCEL), file: fs/xfs/xfs_log_recover.c, line: 1815

xfstests generic/311 reproduces this ASSERT failure with 100%
reproducability.

Fix it by making readahead only peek at the buffer cancelled state
rather than the full accounting that xlog_check_buffer_cancelled()
does.

bb78a92f47 cgroup: fix rmdir EBUSY regression in 3.11
On 3.11-rc we are seeing cgroup directories left behind when they should
have been removed. Here's a trivial reproducer:

cd /sys/fs/cgroup/memory
mkdir parent parent/child; rmdir parent/child parent
rmdir: failed to remove `parent': Device or resource busy

It's because cgroup_destroy_locked() (step 1 of destruction) leaves
cgroup on parent's children list, letting cgroup_offline_fn() (step 2 of
destruction) remove it; but step 2 is run by work queue, which may not
yet have removed the children when parent destruction checks the list.

Fix that by checking through a non-empty list of children: if every one
of them has already been marked CGRP_DEAD, then it's safe to proceed:
those children are invisible to userspace, and should not obstruct rmdir.

(I didn't see any reason to keep the cgrp->children checks under the
unrelated css_set_lock, so moved them out.)

tj: Flattened nested ifs a bit and updated comment so that it's
correct on both for-3.11-fixes and for-3.12.

314add6b1f perf tools: change machine__findnew_thread() to set thread pid
Add a new parameter for 'pid' to machine__findnew_thread().
Change callers to pass 'pid' when it is known.

Note that callers sometimes want to find the main thread
which has the memory maps. The main thread has tid == pid
so the usage in that case is:

	machine__findnew_thread(machine, pid, pid)

whereas the usage to find the specific thread is:

	machine__findnew_thread(machine, pid, tid)

3825ce5a9b OMAPDSS: fix WARN_ON in 'alpha_blending_enabled' sysfs file
The code handling 'alpha_blending_enabled' sysfs file contains WARN_ONs
in case the feature is not supported on the current platform. Even
though only root can write to the file, anyone can read it, thus causing
the kernel to get tainted and printing an ugly warning.

Instead of having WARN_ONs, return a proper error if the feature is not
supported.

db680c6515 OMAPDSS: HDMI: Fix possible NULL reference
Commit 5391e87d12 (OMAPDSS: remove dispc's dependency to VENC/HDMI)
introduced a possible NULL reference bug in the HDMI driver when setting
timings. In practice the bug shouldn't happen, as the timings have been
verified earlier, and thus the timings should always be ok.

Fix the possible issue by moving the use of the timings pointer inside
the NULL check.
