To support GICs that require runtime power management, it is necessary
to add a platform driver, so that the probing of the chip can be
deferred if resources, such as a power-domain, is not yet available.
To prepare for adding a platform driver:
1. Drop the __init section from the gic_dist_config() so this can be
re-used by the platform driver.
2. Add prototypes for functions required by the platform driver to the
GIC header file so they can be re-used.

Some IRQ chips may be located in a power domain outside of the CPU
subsystem and hence will require device specific runtime power
management. In order to support such IRQ chips, add a pointer for a
device structure to the irq_chip structure, and if this pointer is
populated by the IRQ chip driver and CONFIG_PM is selected in the kernel
configuration, then the pm_runtime_get/put APIs for this chip will be
called when an IRQ is requested/freed, respectively.

Some IRQ chips, such as GPIO controllers or secondary level interrupt
controllers, may require require additional runtime power management
control to ensure they are accessible. For such IRQ chips, it makes sense
to enable the IRQ chip when interrupts are requested and disabled them
again once all interrupts have been freed.
When mapping an IRQ, the IRQ type settings are read and then programmed.
The mapping of the IRQ happens before the IRQ is requested and so the
programming of the type settings occurs before the IRQ is requested. This
is a problem for IRQ chips that require additional power management
control because they may not be accessible yet. Therefore, when mapping
the IRQ, don't program the type settings, just save them and then program
these saved settings when the IRQ is requested (so long as if they are not
overridden via the call to request the IRQ).
Add a stub function for irq_domain_free_irqs() to avoid any compilation
errors when CONFIG_IRQ_DOMAIN_HIERARCHY is not selected.

sch_atm returns this when TC_ACT_SHOT classification occurs.
But all other schedulers that use tc_classify
(htb, hfsc, drr, fq_codel ...) return NET_XMIT_SUCCESS | __BYPASS
in this case so just do that in atm.
BATMAN uses it as an intermediate return value to signal
forwarding vs. buffering, but it did not return POLICED to
callers outside of BATMAN.

An integrated multiplexer uses same address space for
"muxed bus selection" and "generation of mdio transaction"
hence its good to register parent bus from mux driver.
Hence added a mechanism where mux driver could register a

We always mixed in the parent pointer into the dentry name hash, but we
did it late at lookup time. It turns out that we can simplify that
lookup-time action by salting the hash with the parent pointer early
instead of late.
A few other users of our string hashes also wanted to mix in their own
pointers into the hash, and those are updated to use the same mechanism.
Hash users that don't have any particular initial salt can just use the
NULL pointer as a no-salt.

Respect the stack's xmit_recursion limit for calls into dev_queue_xmit().
Currently, they are not handeled by the limiter when attached to clsact's
egress parent, for example, and a buggy program redirecting it to the
same device again could run into stack overflow eventually. It would be
good if we could notify an admin to give him a chance to react. We reuse
xmit_recursion instead of having one private to eBPF, so that the stack's
current recursion depth will be taken into account as well. Follow-up to
commit 3896d655f4 ("bpf: introduce bpf_clone_redirect() helper") and
27b29f6305 ("bpf: add bpf_redirect() helper").

Extend pci_bus_find_domain_nr() so it can find the domain from either:
- ACPI, via the new acpi_pci_bus_find_domain_nr() interface, or
- DT, via of_pci_bus_find_domain_nr()
Note that this is only used for CONFIG_PCI_DOMAINS_GENERIC=y, so it does
not affect x86 or ia64.

return the domain and let the caller do the assignment. Rename

On ACPI systems that support memory-mapped config space access, i.e., ECAM,
the PCI Firmware Specification says the OS can learn where the ECAM space
is from either:
- the static MCFG table (for non-hotpluggable bridges), or
- the _CBA method (for hotpluggable bridges)
The current MCFG table handling code cannot be easily generalized owing to
x86-specific quirks, which makes it hard to reuse on other architectures.
Implement generic MCFG handling from scratch, including:
- Simple MCFG table parsing (via pci_mmcfg_late_init() as in current x86)
- MCFG region lookup for a (domain, bus_start, bus_end) tuple

Add a parent device field to struct pci_config_window. The parent is not
saved now, but will be useful to save it in some cases. For ACPI on ARM64,
it can be used to setup ACPI companion and domain.
Since the parent dev is in struct pci_config_window now, we need not pass
it to the init function as a separate argument.

Allow a user to specify an optional feature 'queue_mode <mode>' where
<mode> may be "bio", "rq" or "mq" -- which corresponds to bio-based,
request_fn rq-based, and blk-mq rq-based respectively.
If the queue_mode feature isn't specified the default for the
"multipath" target is still "rq" but if dm_mod.use_blk_mq is set to Y
it'll default to mode "mq".
This new queue_mode feature introduces the ability for each multipath
device to have its own queue_mode (whereas before this feature all
multipath devices effectively had to have the same queue_mode).
This commit also goes a long way to eliminate the awkward (ab)use of
DM_TYPE_*, the associated filter_md_type() and other relatively fragile
and difficult to maintain code.

d_walk() relies upon the tree not getting rearranged under it without
rename_lock being touched. And we do grab rename_lock around the
places that change the tree topology. Unfortunately, branch reordering
is just as bad from d_walk() POV and we have two places that do it
without touching rename_lock - one in handling of cursors (for ramfs-style
directories) and another in autofs. autofs one is a separate story; this
commit deals with the cursors.
* mark cursor dentries explicitly at allocation time
* make __dentry_kill() leave ->d_child.next pointing to the next
non-cursor sibling, making sure that it won't be moved around unnoticed
before the parent is relocked on ascend-to-parent path in d_walk().

McBSP2/3 module's sidetone module operates using the module's ICLK clock.
When the Sidetone is in use the interface clock of the module must not
idle. To prevent the iclk idling the driver expects to have pdata callback
to call. With this patch the callback is going to be set up for DT boot
also.

McBSP2/3 module's sidetone module operates using the module's ICLK clock.
When the Sidetone is in use the interface clock of the module must not
idle. The new callback expects to receive the *clk of the module's ick and
not the id number of the McBSP. This will allow us more cleanups and going
to simplify the ICLK handling.

The problem above is due to the fact that the fib hash table is not
allocated when IPv6 is disabled at boot.
As for the VRF driver it should not do any IPv6 initializations if IPv6
is disabled, so it needs to know if IPv6 is disabled at boot. The disable
parameter is private to the IPv6 module, so provide an accessor for
modules to determine if IPv6 was disabled at boot time.

Simplify the RxRPC connect() implementation. It will just note the
destination address it is given, and if a sendmsg() comes along with no
address, this will be assigned as the address. No transport struct will be
held internally, which will allow us to remove this later.
Simplify sendmsg() also. Whilst a call is active, userspace refers to it
by a private unique user ID specified in a control message. When sendmsg()
sees a user ID that doesn't map to an extant call, it creates a new call
for that user ID and attempts to add it. If, when we try to add it, the
user ID is now registered, we now reject the message with -EEXIST. We
should never see this situation unless two threads are racing, trying to
create a call with the same ID - which would be an error.
It also isn't required to provide sendmsg() with an address - provided the
control message data holds a user ID that maps to a currently active call.

This patch adds support for Broadcom's BCM53xx switch family, also known
as RoboSwitch. Some of these switches are ubiquituous, found in home
routers, Wi-Fi routers, DSL and cable modem gateways and other
networking related products.
This drivers adds the library driver (b53_common.c) as well as a few bus
glue drivers for MDIO, SPI, Switch Register Access Block (SRAB) and
memory-mapped I/O into a SoC's address space (Broadcom BCM63xx/33xx).
Basic operations are supported to bring the Layer 1/2 up and running,
but not much more at this point, subsequent patches add the remaining
features.

In RoCE, the RDMA-CM needs the node guid to establish connection
between nodes.
Today, the node guid exposed to mlx5 Ethernet VFs is zero, therefore
RDMA-CM on the VF is broken.
Whenever the administrator sets a MAC for a VF, derive the node guid
from it and set it as well in the following way:
MAC: e4:1d:2d:b3:f4:01 -> node_guid: e4:1d:2d:ff:fe:b3:f4:01

Flow steering infrastructure is currently used only on link layer
ethernet, therefore the driver should initialize the flow steering
when the device link layer is ethernet.
In addition, add missing capability check before initializing the
namespace of NIC RX flow tables.

Having MLX5_CMD_OP_MAX on another file causes us to repeatedly miss
accounting new commands added to the driver and hence there're no entries
for them in debugfs. To solve that, we integrate it into the commands enum
as the last entry.

No one need this macro now, so remove it. Basically
only how many bvecs in one bio matters instead
of how many bytes in this bio.
The motivation is for supporting multipage bvecs, in
which we only know what the max count of bvecs is supported
in the bio.

This patch removes the deprecated extcon functions using string type
to identify the type of external connector. The Commit 2a9de9c0f0
("extcon: Use the unique id for external connector instead of string)
uses the unique id to separate the type of external connector instead of
string name.
- extcon_register_interest()
- extcon_unregister_interest()
- extcon_set_cable_state()
- extcon_get_cable_state()
And, extcon_register_interest() finds the first extcon device to include the
requested external connector from extcon client device and then register the
notifier if extcon device argument is NULL. Instead, extcon_register_notifier()
supports this feature.
But, this patch remains the deprecatd function definition to prevent
the build break.
