This patch moves the default IV generators into their own modules
in order to break a dependency loop between cryptomgr, rng, and

be called multiple times to use the lockspace from different places.

Impact: "smx" flags showed as "safer" in /proc/cpuinfo
The SMX feature flag is the so-called "safer mode"... I had put that
in quotes, but that flagged it as a cpuinfo flag name. Remove the
quotes to correct the flag name in /proc/cpuinfo.

We have had a number of cases where <asm/cpufeature.h> (and its
predecessors) have diverged substantially from the names list in
/proc/cpuinfo. This patch generates the latter from the former.
It retains the option for explicitly overriding the strings, but by
making that require a separate action it should at least be less
likely to happen.
It would be good to do a future pass and rename strings that are
gratuituously different in the kernel (/proc/cpuinfo is a userspace
interface and must remain constant.)

Add a new Kconfig option SECURITYFS which will build securityfs support
but does not require CONFIG_SECURITY. The only current user of
securityfs does not depend on CONFIG_SECURITY and there is no reason the
full LSM needs to be built to build this fs.

Use new qdisc_root_sleeping_lock() instead of qdisc_root_lock() as
sch_tree_lock() because this lock could be used while dev is
deactivated, but we never need to use this with noop_qdisc as a root.

While passing a qdisc root lock to gen_new_estimator() and
gen_replace_estimator() dev could be deactivated or even before
grafting proper root qdisc as qdisc_sleeping (e.g. qdisc_create), so
using qdisc_root_lock() is not enough. This patch adds
qdisc_root_sleeping_lock() for this, plus additional checks, where
necessary.

cmd_filter works only for the block layer SG_IO with SCSI block
devices. It breaks scsi/sg.c, bsg, and the block layer SG_IO with SCSI
character devices (such as st). We hit a kernel crash with them.
The problem is that cmd_filter code accesses to gendisk (having struct
blk_scsi_cmd_filter) via inode->i_bdev->bd_disk. It works for only
SCSI block device files. With character device files, inode->i_bdev
leads you to struct cdev. inode->i_bdev->bd_disk->blk_scsi_cmd_filter
isn't safe.
SCSI ULDs don't expose gendisk; they keep it private. bsg needs to be
independent on any protocols. We shouldn't change ULDs to expose their
gendisk.
This patch moves struct blk_scsi_cmd_filter from gendisk to
request_queue, a common object, which eveyone can access to.
The user interface doesn't change; users can change the filters via
/sys/block/. gendisk has a pointer to request_queue so the cmd_filter
code accesses to struct blk_scsi_cmd_filter.

Including <linux/fcntl.h> in the user-visible part of this header has
caused build regressions with headers from 2.6.27-rc. Move it down to
the #ifdef __KERNEL__ part, which is the only place it's needed. Move
some other kernel-only things down there too, while we're at it.

Impact: bogus error codes (+other?) on x86-64
The rdmsr_safe/wrmsr_safe routines have macros for the handling of the
edx:eax arguments. Those macros take a variable number of assembly
arguments. This is rather inherently incompatible with using
%digit-style escapes in the inline assembly; replace those with
%[name]-style escapes.
This fixes miscompilation on x86-64, which at the very least caused
bogus return values. It is possible that this could also corrupt the
return value; I am not sure.

vmlinux.lds expects the fixup code to be on a section named .fixup. The
.text.fixup section is not mentioned on vmlinux.lds, and is included on
the resulting vmlinux (just after .text) only because of ld heuristics on
placing orphan sections.
However, placing .text.fixup outside .text breaks the definition of
_etext, making it exclude the .text.fixup contents. That makes .text.fixup
be ignored by the kernel initialization code that needs to know about
section locations, such as the code setting page protection bits.

Bug Description:
a customer reported under IRQ stress, running applications may
wrongly trigger an ICPLB miss and be killed. after playing a
bit more, here's a test case that may be triggering the same bug.
Fixing:
After modifying page protections, only modify the active CPLBs if the
protection change was made for the active mm.

The removal of the CPU from the various maps was redundant as it already
happened in cpu_disable.
After cleaning this up, cpu_uninit only resets the tlb state, so rename
it and create a noop version for the X86_64 case (so the two play_deads
can be unified later).

Most hardwares have limited buffer-descriptor table length. This
also restricts the max buffer size of the sound driver.
For example, snd-hda-intel has 1MB buffer size limit, and this is
because it can have at most 256 BDL entries. For supporting larger
buffers, we need to allocate larger pages even for sg-buffers.
This patch changes the sgbuf allocation code to try to allocate
larger pages first. At each head of the allocated pages, the
number of allocated pages is stored in the lowest bits of the
corresponding entry of the table addr field. This change isn't
visible as long as the driver uses snd_sgbuf_get_addr() helper.
Also, the patch adds a new function, snd_pcm_sgbuf_get_chunk_size().
This returns the size of the chunk on continuous pages starting at
the given position offset. If the chunk reaches to a non-continuous
page, it returns the size to the boundary.
