   - A large overhaul of the posix CPU timer code which is a preparation
     for moving the CPU timer expiry out into task work so it can be
     properly accounted on the task/process.

     An update to the bogus permission checks will come later during the
     merge window as feedback was not complete before heading of for
     travel.

   - Switch the timerqueue code to use cached rbtrees and get rid of the
     homebrewn caching of the leftmost node.

   - Consolidate hrtimer_init() + hrtimer_init_sleeper() calls into a
     single function

   - Implement the separation of hrtimers to be forced to expire in hard
     interrupt context even when PREEMPT_RT is enabled and mark the
     affected timers accordingly.

   - Implement a mechanism for hrtimers and the timer wheel to protect
     RT against priority inversion and live lock issues when a (hr)timer
     which should be canceled is currently executing the callback.
     Instead of infinitely spinning, the task which tries to cancel the
     timer blocks on a per cpu base expiry lock which is held and
     released by the (hr)timer expiry code.

   - Enable the Hyper-V TSC page based sched_clock for Hyper-V guests
     resulting in faster access to timekeeping functions.

   - Updates to various clocksource/clockevent drivers and their device
     tree bindings.

   - The usual small improvements all over the place"

cc204d0126 SUNRPC: Dequeue the request from the receive queue while we're re-encoding
Ensure that we dequeue the request from the transport receive queue
while we're re-encoding to prevent issues like use-after-free when
we release the bvec.

 "A small update for the SMP hotplug code code:

   - Track "booted once" CPUs in a cpumask so the x86 APIC code has an
     easy way to decide whether broadcast IPIs are safe to use or not.

   - Implement a cpumask_or_equal() helper for the IPI broadcast
     evaluation.

     The above two changes have been also pulled into the x86/apic
     branch for implementing the conditional IPI broadcast feature.

   - Cache the number of online CPUs instead of reevaluating it over and
     over. num_online_cpus() is an unreliable snapshot anyway except
     when it is used outside a cpu hotplug locked region. The cached
     access is not changing this, but it's definitely faster than
     calculating the bitmap wheight especially in hot paths"

6058f11870 mailbox: mediatek: cmdq: clear the event in cmdq initial flow
GCE hardware stored event information in own internal sysram,
if the initial value in those sysram is not zero value
it will cause a situation that gce can wait the event immediately
after client ask gce to wait event but not really trigger the
corresponding hardware.

In order to make sure that the wait event function is
exactly correct, we need to clear the sysram value in
cmdq initial flow.

 "This is another huge branch with close to 450 changessets related to
  devicetree files, roughly half of this for 32-bit and 64-bit
  respectively. There are lots of cleanups and additional hardware
  support for platforms we already support based on SoCs from Renesas,
  ST-Microelectronics, Intel/Altera, Rockchips, Allwinner, Broadcom and
  other manufacturers.

  A total of 6 new SoCs and 37 new boards gets added this time, one more
  SoC will come in a follow-up branch. Most of the new boards are for
  64-bit ARM SoCs, the others are typically for the 32-bit Cortex-A7.

  Going more into details for SoC platforms with new hardware support:

   - The Snapdragon 855 (SM8150) is Qualcomm's current high-end phone
     platform, usually paired with an external 5G modem. So far we only
     support the Qualcomm SM8150 MTP reference platform, but no actual
     products.

   - For the slightly older Qualcomm platforms, support for several
     interesting products is getting added: Three laptops based on
     Snapdragon 835/MSM8998 (Asus NovaGo, HP Envy X2 and Lenovo Miix
     630), one laptop based on Snapdragon 850/sdm850 (Lenovo Yoga C630)
     and several phones based on the older Snapdragon 410/MSM8916
     (Samsung A3 and A5, Longcheer L8150 aka Android One 2nd gen "seed"
     aka Wileyfox Swift).

   - Mediatek MT7629 is a new wireless network router chip, similar to
     the older MT7623. It gets added together with the reference board
     implementation.

   - Allwinner V3 is a repackaged version of the existing low-end V3s
     chip, and is used in the tiny Lichee Pi Zero plus, also added here.
     There is also a new TV set-top box based on Allwinner H6, the Tanix
     TX6, and the eMMC variant of the Olimex A64-Olinuxino development
     board.

   - NXP i.MX8M Nano is a new member of the ever-expanding i.MX SoC
     family, similar to the i.MX8M Mini. As usual, there is a large
     number of new boards for i.MX SoCs: Einfochips i.MX8QXP AI_ML,
     SolidRun Hummingboard Pulse baseboard and System-on-Module,
     Boundary Devices i.MX8MQ Nitrogen8M, and TechNexion
     PICO-PI-IMX8M-DEV for the 64-bit i.MX8 line. For 32-bit, we get the
     Kontron i.MX6UL N6310 SoM with two baseboards, the PHYTEC
     phyBOARD-Segin SoM with three baseboards, and the Zodiac Inflight
     Innovations i.MX7 RMU2 board.

   - In a different NXP product line, the Layerscape LS1046A "Freeway"
     reference board gets added.

   - Amlogic SM1 (S905X3) and G12B (S922X, A311D) are updated chips from
     their set-top-box line and smart speaker with newer CPU and GPU
     cores compared to their predecessors. Both are now also supported
     by the Khadas VIM3 development board series, and the dts files for
     that get reorganized a bit to better deal with all variants.
     Another board based on SM1 that gets added is the SEI Robotics
     SEI610.

   - There are a handful of new x86 and Power9 server boards using
     Aspeed BMC chips that are gaining support for running Linux on the
     BMC through the OpenBMC project: Facebook
     Minipack/Wedge100/Wedge40, Lenovo Hr855xg2, and Mihawk. Notably
     these are still new machines using SoCs based on the ARM9 and ARM11
     CPU cores, as support for the new Cortex-A7 based AST2600 is still
     ramping up.

   - There are three new end-user products using 32-bit Rockchips SoCs:
     Mecer Xtreme Mini S6 is an Android "mini PC" box based on the
     low-end RK3229 chip, while the two AOpen products Chromebox Mini
     (Fievel) and Chromebase Mini (Tiger) run ChromeOS and are meant for
     commercial settings(digital signage, PoS, ...).

   - One more single-board computer based on the popular 64-bit RK3399
     is added: the Leez RK3399 P710"

  The Kendin/Micrel/Microchip KS8695, Winbond/Nuvoton W90x900 and Intel
  IOP33x/IOP13xx platforms are removed after we determined that nobody
  is using them any more.

  The TI Davinci and NXP LPC32xx platforms on the other hand are still
  in active use and are converted to the ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM build,
  meaning that we can compile a kernel that works on these along with
  most other ARMv5 platforms. Changes toward that goal are also merged
  for IOP32x, but additional work is needed to complete this. Patches
  for the remaining ARMv5 platforms have started but need more work and
  some testing.

  Support for the new ASpeed AST2600 gets added, this is based on the
  Cortex-A7 ARMv7 core, and is a newer version of the existing ARMv5 and
  ARMv6 chips in the same family.

  Other changes include a cleanup of the ST-Ericsson ux500 platform and
  the move of the TI Davinci platform to a new clocksource driver"

[ The changes had marked INTEL_IOP_ADMA and USB_LPC32XX as being
  buildable on other platforms through COMPILE_TEST, but that causes new
  warnings that I most definitely do not want to see during the merge
  window as that could hide other issues.

9c66d15646 taprio: Add support for hardware offloading
This allows taprio to offload the schedule enforcement to capable
network cards, resulting in more precise windows and less CPU usage.

The gate mask acts on traffic classes (groups of queues of same
priority), as specified in IEEE 802.1Q-2018, and following the existing
taprio and mqprio semantics.
It is up to the driver to perform conversion between tc and individual
netdev queues if for some reason it needs to make that distinction.

Full offload is requested from the network interface by specifying
"flags 2" in the tc qdisc creation command, which in turn corresponds to
the TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_FLAG_FULL_OFFLOAD bit.

The important detail here is the clockid which is implicitly /dev/ptpN
for full offload, and hence not configurable.

A reference counting API is added to support the use case where Ethernet
drivers need to keep the taprio offload structure locally (i.e. they are
a multi-port switch driver, and configuring a port depends on the
settings of other ports as well). The refcount_t variable is kept in a
private structure (__tc_taprio_qopt_offload) and not exposed to drivers.

In the future, the private structure might also be expanded with a
backpointer to taprio_sched *q, to implement the notification system
described in the patch (of when admin became oper, or an error occurred,
etc, so the offload can be monitored with 'tc qdisc show').

f9af2dbbfe tcp: Add TCP_INFO counter for packets received out-of-order
For receive-heavy cases on the server-side, we want to track the
connection quality for individual client IPs. This counter, similar to
the existing system-wide TCPOFOQueue counter in /proc/net/netstat,
tracks out-of-order packet reception. By providing this counter in
TCP_INFO, it will allow understanding to what degree receive-heavy
sockets are experiencing out-of-order delivery and packet drops
indicating congestion.

Please note that this is similar to the counter in NetBSD TCP_INFO, and
has the same name.

Also note that we avoid increasing the size of the tcp_sock struct by
taking advantage of a hole.

d895a0f16f bpf: fix accessing bpf_sysctl.file_pos on s390
"ctx:file_pos sysctl:read write ok" fails on s390 with "Read value  !=
nux". This is because verifier rewrites a complete 32-bit
bpf_sysctl.file_pos update to a partial update of the first 32 bits of
64-bit *bpf_sysctl_kern.ppos, which is not correct on big-endian
systems.

Fix by using an offset on big-endian systems.

Ditto for bpf_sysctl.file_pos reads. Currently the test does not detect
a problem there, since it expects to see 0, which it gets with high
probability in error cases, so change it to seek to offset 3 and expect
3 in bpf_sysctl.file_pos.

3d24430694 block: make rq sector size accessible for block stats
Currently rq->data_len will be decreased by partial completion or
zeroed by completion, so when blk_stat_add() is invoked, data_len
will be zero and there will never be samples in poll_cb because
blk_mq_poll_stats_bkt() will return -1 if data_len is zero.

We could move blk_stat_add() back to __blk_mq_complete_request(),
but that would make the effort of trying to call ktime_get_ns()
once in vain. Instead we can reuse throtl_size field, and use
it for both block stats and block throttle, and adjust the
logic in blk_mq_poll_stats_bkt() accordingly.

eb11186930 compiler-types.h: add asm_inline definition
This adds an asm_inline macro which expands to "asm inline" [1] when
the compiler supports it. This is currently gcc 9.1+, gcc 8.3
and (once released) gcc 7.5 [2]. It expands to just "asm" for other
compilers.

Using asm inline("foo") instead of asm("foo") overrules gcc's
heuristic estimate of the size of the code represented by the asm()
statement, and makes gcc use the minimum possible size instead. That
can in turn affect gcc's inlining decisions.

I wasn't sure whether to make this a function-like macro or not - this
way, it can be combined with volatile as

  asm_inline volatile()

but perhaps we'd prefer to spell that

  asm_inline_volatile()

anyway.

The Kconfig logic is taken from an RFC patch by Masahiro Yamada [3].

[1] Technically, asm __inline, since both inline and __inline__
are macros that attach various attributes, making gcc barf if one
literally does "asm inline()". However, the third spelling __inline is
available for referring to the bare keyword.

c30724e9a0 compiler_types.h: don't #define __inline
The spellings __inline and __inline__ should be reserved for uses
where one really wants to refer to the inline keyword, regardless of
whether or not the spelling "inline" has been #defined to something
else. Due to use of __inline__ in uapi headers, we can't easily get
rid of the definition of __inline__. However, almost all users of
__inline have been converted to inline, so we can get rid of that
#define.

The exception is include/acpi/platform/acintel.h. However, that header
is only included when using the intel compiler (does anybody actually
build the kernel with that?), and the ACPI_INLINE macro is only used
in the definition of utterly trivial stub functions, where I doubt a
small change of semantics (lack of __gnu_inline) changes anything.
