e497c8e52a ARCv2: IOC: Use actual memory size to setup aperture size
vs. fixed 512M before.

But this still assumes that all of memory is under IOC which may not be
true for the SoC. Improve that later when this becomes a real issue, by
specifying this from DT.

8c47f83ba4 ARCv2: IOC: Adhere to progamming model guidelines to avoid DMA corruption
On AXS103 release bitfiles, DMA data corruptions were seen because IOC
setup was not following the recommended way in documentation.

Flipping IOC on when caches are enabled or coherency transactions are in
flight, might cause some of the memory operations to not observe
coherency as expected.

So strictly follow the programming model recommendations as documented
in comment header above arc_ioc_setup()

261e1d5cc5 ARM64: dts: meson-gx: add the serial CTS and RTS pin groups
This adds pinctrl group nodes for the CTS and RTS pins of each serial
controller. This makes it possible to enable the CTS and RTS pins which
are controlled by the serial controller hardware (through the meson_uart
driver).

890a96a257 ARM64: dts: meson-gx: add the missing uart_AO_B
This adds the missing node for the uart_AO_B port to the meson-gx.dtsi
(as this is supported by GXBB, GXL and GXM) along with the required
pinctrl pins. This is required as some boards are using it (the boards
from the Khadas VIM series for example have it exposed on the pin
headers).

4a7c972644 net: Remove usage of net_device last_rx member
The network stack no longer uses the last_rx member of struct net_device
since the bonding driver switched to use its own private last_rx in
commit 9f24273837 ("bonding: use last_arp_rx in slave_last_rx()").

However, some drivers still (ab)use the field for their own purposes and
some driver just update it without actually using it.

Previously, there was an accompanying comment for the last_rx member
added in commit 4dc89133f4 ("net: add a comment on netdev->last_rx")
which asked drivers not to update is, unless really needed. However,
this commend was removed in commit f8ff080dac ("bonding: remove
useless updating of slave->dev->last_rx"), so some drivers added later
on still did update last_rx.

Remove all usage of last_rx and switch three drivers (sky2, atp and
smc91c92_cs) which actually read and write it to use their own private
copy in netdev_priv.

Compile-tested with allyesconfig and allmodconfig on x86 and arm.

1a8b6d76dc net:add one common config ARCH_WANT_RELAX_ORDER to support relax ordering
Relax ordering(RO) is one feature of 82599 NIC, to enable this feature can
enhance the performance for some cpu architecure, such as SPARC and so on.
Currently it only supports one special cpu architecture(SPARC) in 82599
driver to enable RO feature, this is not very common for other cpu architecture
which really needs RO feature.
This patch add one common config CONFIG_ARCH_WANT_RELAX_ORDER to set RO feature,
and should define CONFIG_ARCH_WANT_RELAX_ORDER in sparc Kconfig firstly.

c61f13eaa1 gcc-plugins: Add structleak for more stack initialization
This plugin detects any structures that contain __user attributes and
makes sure it is being fully initialized so that a specific class of
information exposure is eliminated. (This plugin was originally designed
to block the exposure of siginfo in CVE-2013-2141.)

Ported from grsecurity/PaX. This version adds a verbose option to the
plugin and the Kconfig.

eb1357d942 ARC: module: Fix !CONFIG_ARC_DW2_UNWIND builds
commit d65283f7b6 added mod->arch.secstr under
CONFIG_ARC_DW2_UNWIND, but used it unconditionally which broke builds
when the option was disabled. Fix that by adjusting the #ifdef guard.

And while at it add a missing guard (for unwinder) in module.c as well

Pull SMP hotplug update from Thomas Gleixner:
 "This contains a trivial typo fix and an extension to the core code for
  dynamically allocating states in the prepare stage.

  The extension is necessary right now because we need a proper way to
  unbreak LTTNG, which iscurrently non functional due to the removal of
  the notifiers. Surely it's out of tree, but it's widely used by
  distros.

  The simple solution would have been to reserve a state for LTTNG, but
  I'm not fond about unused crap in the kernel and the dynamic range,
  which we admittedly should have done right away, allows us to remove
  quite some of the hardcoded states, i.e. those which have no ordering
  requirements. So doing the right thing now is better than having an
  smaller intermediate solution which needs to be reworked anyway"

22dfab102c ARM: EXYNOS: Remove Exynos4415 arch code (SoC not supported anymore)
Support for Exynos4415 is going away because there are no internal nor
external users.

Since commit 46dcf0ff0d ("ARM: dts: exynos: Remove exynos4415.dtsi"),
the platform cannot be instantiated so remove also the mach code.

ad9e202aa1 arm64/ptrace: Reject attempts to set incomplete hardware breakpoint fields
We cannot preserve partial fields for hardware breakpoints, because
the values written by userspace to the hardware breakpoint
registers can't subsequently be recovered intact from the hardware.

So, just reject attempts to write incomplete fields with -EINVAL.

aeb1f39d81 arm64/ptrace: Avoid uninitialised struct padding in fpr_set()
This patch adds an explicit __reserved[] field to user_fpsimd_state
to replace what was previously unnamed padding.

This ensures that data in this region are propagated across
assignment rather than being left possibly uninitialised at the
destination.

The "samsung,exynos5433-mipi-video-phy" and "samsung,exynos5250-dwusb3"
DT bindings don't specify a reg property for these nodes, so having a
unit name leads to the following DTC warnings:

Node /soc/video-phy@105c0710 has a unit name, but no reg property
Node /soc/usb@15400000 has a unit name, but no reg property
Node /soc/usb@15a00000 has a unit name, but no reg property

020eb3daab x86/ioapic: Restore IO-APIC irq_chip retrigger callback
commit d32932d02e removed the irq_retrigger callback from the IO-APIC
chip and did not add it to the new IO-APIC-IR irq chip.

Unfortunately the software resend fallback is not enabled on X86, so edge
interrupts which are received during the lazy disabled state of the
interrupt line are not retriggered and therefor lost.

Restore the callbacks.

1492a86436 arm64: dts: juno: remove motherboard USB node
The first batch of Juno boards included a discrete USB controller chip
as a contingency in case of issues with the USB 2.0 IP integrated into
the SoC. As it turned out, the latter was fine, and to the best of my
knowledge the motherboard USB was never even brought up and validated.

Since this also isn't present on later boards, and uses a compatible
string undocumented and unmatched by any driver in the kernel, let's
just tidy it away for ever to avoid any confusion.

fd47c2062a arm64: dts: juno: add ETR SMMU power domain
It is not at all clear from the documentation, but straightforward to
determine in practice, that the ETR SMMU is actually in the DEBUGSYS
power domain. Add that to the DT so that anyone brave enough to enable
said SMMU doesn't experience a system lockup on boot, especially a
sneaky one which goes away as soon as you connect an external debugger
to have a look at where it's stuck (thus powering up DEBUGSYS by other
means and allowing it to make progress again before actually halting...)

The interconnects around Juno have a 40-bit address width, and DMA
masters have no restrictions beyond their own individual limitations.
Describe this to ensure that DT-based DMA masks get set up correctly
for all devices capable of 40-bit addressing.

cdc07e9604 arm64: dts: juno: add CoreSight support for Juno r1/r2 variants
The CoreSight support added for Juno is valid for only Juno r0.
The Juno r1 and r2 variants have additional components and alternative
connection routes between trace source and sinks.

This patch builds on top of the existing r0 support and extends it to
Juno r1/r2 variants.

19ac17c031 arm64: dts: juno: refactor CoreSight support on Juno r0
Currently the Coresight components are supported only on Juno r0
variant. In preparation to add support to Juno r1/r2 variants, this
patch refactors the existing coresight device nodes so that r1/r2
support can be added easily.

It also cleans up some of the device node names which were previously
named so as they were confused as the labels rather than the node names.

d29e849caf arm64: dts: juno: remove dtsi nesting inside tree structure
Currently juno-clock.dtsi and juno-base.dtsi are nested badly inside
the device tree structure. It's generally good practice to ensure that
individual dtsi stand by themselves at the top of the file.

This patch removes the nesting of the above mentioned dtsi files and
makes them independent.

a9b4f08770 x86/ioapic: Restore IO-APIC irq_chip retrigger callback
commit d32932d02e removed the irq_retrigger callback from the IO-APIC
chip and did not add it to the new IO-APIC-IR irq chip.

There is no harm because the interrupts are resent in software when the
retrigger callback is NULL, but it's less efficient. So restore them.

c9c9ac714b ARM: dts: sun6i: sina31s: Enable USB OTG controller in peripheral mode
While the SinA31s does have a proper 5-pin mini USB OTG port, the ID
pin does not seem to work. The pin used in the schematics is always low,
regardless of the attached OTG cable or SoC internal pin bias settings.

The v1.5 board is missing bias resistors shown in the schematics for
earlier revisions, and the connections of the remaining one does not
match the schematics either.

In addition, VBUS for this port is disconnected from the board's 5V
power rail. The board features a pad to solder jumper pins to connect
VBUS to 5V manually.

Given the above and the fact that the board has 5 more USB host ports,
it makes more sense to have the OTG port work in peripheral mode.

27593d72c4 powerpc/perf: Use MSR to report privilege level on P9 DD1
SIER and SIAR are not updated correctly for some samples, so force the
use of MSR and regs->nip instead for misc_flag updates. This is done by
adding a new ppmu flag and updating the use_siar logic in
perf_read_regs() to use it, and dropping the PPMU_HAS_SIER flag.

387bbc974f powerpc/eeh: Enable IO path on permanent error
We give up recovery on permanent error, simply shutdown the affected
devices and remove them. If the devices can't be put into quiet state,
they spew more traffic that is likely to cause another unexpected EEH
error. This was observed on "p8dtu2u" machine:

On P8 PowerNV platform, the IO path is frozen when shutdowning the
devices, meaning the memory registers are inaccessible. It is why
the devices can't be put into quiet state before removing them.
This fixes the issue by enabling IO path prior to putting the devices
into quiet state.

20717e1ff5 powerpc/mm: Fix little-endian 4K hugetlb
When we switched to big endian page table, we never updated the hugepd
format such that it can work for both big endian and little endian
config. This patch series update hugepd format such that it is looked at
as __be64 value in big endian page table config.

This patch also switch hugepd_t.pd from signed long to unsigned long.
I did update the FSL hugepd_ok check to check for the top bit instead
of checking > 0.

size correctly. With HPAGE_SHIFT = 0 we see in dmesg:

bf5ca68dd2 powerpc: Fix pgtable pmd cache init
Commit 9b081e1080 ("powerpc: port 64 bits pgtable_cache to 32 bits")
mixed up PMD_INDEX_SIZE and PMD_CACHE_INDEX a couple of times. This
resulted in 64s/hash/4k configs to panic at boot with a false positive
error check.

Fix that and simplify error handling by moving the check to the caller.

f7bcd4b6f6 ARM64: dts: meson-gxbb-odroidc2: Disable SCPI DVFS
The current hardware is not able to run with all cores enabled at a
cluster frequency superior at 1536MHz.
But the currently shipped u-boot for the platform still reports an OPP
table with possible DVFS frequency up to 2GHz, and will not change since
the off-tree linux tree supports limiting the OPPs with a kernel parameter.
A recent u-boot change reports the boot-time DVFS around 100MHz and
the default performance cpufreq governor sets the maximum frequency.
Previous version of u-boot reported to be already at the max OPP and
left the OPP as is.
Nevertheless, other governors like ondemand could setup the max frequency
and make the system crash.

This patch disables the DVFS clock and disables cpufreq.

another instruction using a :lo12: relocation for that same symbol.
These sequences are easy to get wrong, and more painful to read than is
necessary. For these reasons, it is preferable to use the
{adr,ldr,str}_l macros for these cases.

This patch makes use of these in entry-ftrace.S, removing open-coded
sequences using adrp. This results in a minor code change, since a
temporary register is not used when generating the address for some
symbols, but this is fine, as the value of the temporary register is not
used elsewhere.

a17f32270a kvm: x86: Expose Intel VPOPCNTDQ feature to guest
Vector population count instructions for dwords and qwords are to be
used in future Intel Xeon & Xeon Phi processors. The bit 14 of
CPUID[level:0x07, ECX] indicates that the new instructions are
supported by a processor.

The spec can be found in the Intel Software Developer Manual (SDM)
or in the Instruction Set Extensions Programming Reference (ISE).
