"There are a couple of new things for s390 with this merge request:
- a new scheduling domain "drawer" is added to reflect the unusual
topology found on z13 machines. Performance tests showed up to 8
percent gain with the additional domain.
- the new crc-32 checksum crypto module uses the vector-galois-field
multiply and sum SIMD instruction to speed up crc-32 and crc-32c.
- proper __ro_after_init support, this requires RO_AFTER_INIT_DATA in
the generic vmlinux.lds linker script definitions.
- kcov instrumentation support. A prerequisite for that is the
inline assembly basic block cleanup, which is the reason for the
net/iucv/iucv.c change.
- support for 2GB pages is added to the hugetlbfs backend.
Then there are two removals:
- the oprofile hardware sampling support is dead code and is removed.
The oprofile user space uses the perf interface nowadays.
- the ETR clock synchronization is removed, this has been superseeded
be the STP clock synchronization. And it always has been
"interesting" code..

Currently, presence of direct_access() in block_device_operations
indicates support of DAX on its block device. Because
block_device_operations is instantiated with 'const', this DAX
capablity may not be enabled conditinally.
In preparation for supporting DAX to device-mapper devices, add
QUEUE_FLAG_DAX to request_queue flags to advertise their DAX
support. This will allow to set the DAX capability based on how
mapped device is composed.

The workqueue "chp_wq" is involved in performing pending
configure tasks for channel paths.
It has a single work item(&cfg_work) and hence doesn't require
ordering. Also, it is not being used on a memory reclaim path.
Hence, the singlethreaded workqueue has been replaced with the use of
system_wq.
System workqueues have been able to handle high level of concurrency
for a long time now and hence it's not required to have a singlethreaded
workqueue just to gain concurrency. Unlike a dedicated per-cpu workqueue
created with create_singlethread_workqueue(), system_wq allows multiple
work items to overlap executions even on the same CPU; however, a
per-cpu workqueue doesn't have any CPU locality or global ordering
guarantee unless the target CPU is explicitly specified and thus the
increase of local concurrency shouldn't make any difference.

When we fetch channel path descriptors via chsc we use a suboptimal
struct chsc_scpd and adjust that by casting the response to a generic
chsc_response_struct. Simplify the code by improving struct chsc_scpd.

When fetching channel path descriptors we've only evaluated the rfmt
parameter which could lead us to trigger the chsc even though the
machine doesn't support the specific format or to not trigger the
chsc and report a failure to userspace even though the machine would've
supported it.
Improve these checks and change the parameters of the in-kernel
user to be less confusing.

Not all machines / hypervisors support the chsc commands to fetch
the fmt1 descriptor. When these commands fail the channel path would
currently not be available to linux.
Since users of these descriptors can already deal with invalid data
make fetching it optional. The only data that is mandatory for us is
the fmt0 channel path descriptor.
Also make the return code for missing facilities in
chsc_get_channel_measurement_chars consistent to other functions.

Via CHSC_INFO_CU we ought to provide userspace with control unit
configuration data. Due to an erroneous request code we trigger the

Prior to commit 1bc6664bdf a call to
enable_cmf for a device for which channel measurement was already
enabled resulted in a reset of the measurement data.
What looked like bugs at the time (a 2nd allocation was triggered
but failed, reset was called regardless of previous failures, and
errors have not been reported to userspace) was actually something
at least one userspace tool depended on. Restore that behavior in
a sane way.

Use the same code structure when determining preferred consoles for
Linux running as KVM guest as with Linux running in LPAR and z/VM
guest:
- Extend the console_mode variable to cover vt220 and hvc consoles
- Determine sensible console defaults in conmode_default()
- Remove KVM-special handling in set_preferred_console()
Ensure that the sclp line mode console is also registered when the
vt220 console was selected to not change existing behavior that
someone might be relying on.
As an externally visible change, KVM guest users can now select
the 3270 or 3215 console devices using the conmode= kernel parameter,
provided that support for the corresponding driver was compiled into
the kernel.

The __pmem address space was meant to annotate codepaths that touch
persistent memory and need to coordinate a call to wmb_pmem(). Now that
wmb_pmem() is gone, there is little need to keep this annotation.

A qeth_card contains a napi_struct linked to the net_device during
device probing. This struct must be deleted when removing the qeth
device, otherwise Panic on oops can occur when qeth devices are
repeatedly removed and added.

On HiperSockets only outbound queues 0 to 2 are available for unicast
packets. Current Priority Queuing implementation in the qeth driver puts
outgoing packets in outbound queues 0 to 3.
This puts outgoing unicast packets into outbound queue 2 instead of
outbound queue 3 when using Priority Queuing on a HiperSocket.
Additionally, the default outbound queue cannot be set to outbound queue 3
on HiperSockets.

The function set_features is called to configure network device features
on the hardware. If errors occur, the network device features should
reflect the changed hardware state and the function should return an
error in order to notify the user.
In case of an error, the current implementation does not necessarily
save the changed hardware state in the network device features before an
error is returned.
This patch improves error handling by saving features, that could be
changed, to the network device features before returning an error. If
the device is not running, an additional check in fix_features removes
features, that require hardware changes, before they are passed to
set_features. Thus, the corresponding check was removed in set_features.

Network device features indicate the capabilities of network devices (e.g.,
TX checksum offloading and TSO) and their configuration state. Additional
network device features (vlan_features) indicate for each network device,
which capabilities can be used on VLAN devices, that are configured on the
respective base network device.
In the current qeth implementation, network device features are only set
for the base network devices and not for the VLAN devices. Thus, features
like TX checksum offloading cannot be used on VLAN devices.
This patch adds network device features to vlan_features, so they can be
used by VLAN devices.

This patch introduces a common set of fix_features and set_features
functions for layer 2 and layer 3. The RX, TX and TSO offload
functionality on the OSA card is enabled using ethtool at user's
request and not at device initialization as done before.
For layer 3 the RX checksum offloading is disabled at device
initialization time.

In layer3 mode of the qeth driver, multicast IP addresses
from struct net_device and other type of IP addresses
from other sources require mapping to the OSA-card.
This patch simplifies the IP address mapping logic, and changes imple-
mentation of ndo_set_rx_mode callback and ip notifier events.
Addresses are stored in private hashtables instead of lists now.
It allows hardware registration/removal for new/deleted multicast
addresses only.

When skb data touches too many pages, skb_linearize() is called
opportunistically in the hope that less pages will be required
for a big linear buffer than for multiple fragments. This patch
intoduces a separate counter in ethtool statistics structure
representing _failed_ linearization attempts.

Set scatter/gather ON by default on OSA, for both layer 2 and
layer 3 modes. We always use fragmentation over QDIO anyway,
so let the upper layers of the stack take advantage of that.

The patch enables NETIF_F_SG flag for OSA in layer 2 mode.
It also adds performance accounting for fragmented sends,
adds a conditional skb_linearize() attempt if the skb had
too many fragments for QDIO SBAL, and fills netdevice->gso_*
attributes.

It is possible to specify a user offset for the TOD clock, e.g. +2 hours.
The TOD clock will carry this offset even if the clock is synchronized
with STP. This makes the time stamps acquired with get_sync_clock()
useless as another LPAR migth use a different TOD offset.
Use the PTFF instrution to get the TOD epoch difference and subtract
it from the TOD clock value to get a physical timestamp. As the epoch
difference contains the sync check delta as well the LPAR offset value
to the physical clock needs to be refreshed after each clock
synchronization.

The sync clock operation of the channel subsystem call for STP delivers
the TOD clock difference as a result. Use this TOD clock difference
instead of the difference between the TOD timestamps before and after
the sync clock operation.

Show the dynamic and static cpu mhz of each cpu. Since these values
are per cpu this requires a fundamental extension of the format of
/proc/cpuinfo.
Historically we had only a single line per cpu and a summary at the
top of the file. This format is hardly extendible if we want to add
more per cpu information.
Therefore this patch adds per cpu blocks at the end of /proc/cpuinfo:

Right now each block contains only the dynamic and static cpu mhz,
but it can be easily extended like on every other architecture.
This extension is supposed to be compatible with the old format.

Use memdup_user_nul to duplicate a memory region from user-space
to kernel-space and terminate with a NULL, instead of open coding
using kmalloc + copy_from_user and explicitly NULL terminating.

sclp_ocf.c is the only way to get the cpc name, as it registers the
sole event handler for the ocf event. By creating a new global
function that copies that name, we make it accessible to the world
which longs to retrieve it.
Additionally we now also store the cpc name as EBCDIC, so we don't
have to convert it to and from ASCII if it is requested in native
encoding.

"DAX error handling for 4.7
- Until now, dax has been disabled if media errors were found on any
device. This enables the use of DAX in the presence of these
errors by making all sector-aligned zeroing go through the driver.
- The driver (already) has the ability to clear errors on writes that
are sent through the block layer using 'DSMs' defined in ACPI 6.1.
Other misc changes:
- When mounting DAX filesystems, check to make sure the partition is
page aligned. This is a requirement for DAX, and previously, we
allowed such unaligned mounts to succeed, but subsequent
reads/writes would fail.
- Misc/cleanup fixes from Jan that remove unused code from DAX
related to zeroing, writeback, and some size checks"
