4d215cabc7 mfd: core: propagate device properties to sub devices drivers
In the similar way like we do for the platform data we propagate the device
properties. For example, in case of Intel LPSS drivers we may provide a
specific property to tell the actual device driver an additional information
such as platform name.

ea1f333990 mfd: arizona: Support Cirrus Logic CS47L24 and WM1831
This patch adds the regmap configuration tables and
core MFD handling for the CS47L24 and WM1831 codecs.

Note that compared to the other Arizona codecs, these devices
do not have an LDO1 or micsupp regulators, extcon driver, or
the DCVDD isolation control.

f3cf3fb7ec Merge tag 'iio-for-4.5a' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio into staging-next
Jonathan writes:

First set of new device support, features and cleanups for IIO in the 4.5 cycle

Usual mixed bag, but the big item perhaps in this series is the DMA buffer
support added by Lars-Peter Clausen. It's been in the works for a long time
and it will be interesting to see what hardware support shows up now that
this is available.

New core features + associate cleanup.
* Add generic DMA buffer infrastructure
* Add a DMAengine framework based buffer
 Also associated minor changes.
   - Set the device buffer watermark based on the minimum watermark for all
     attached buffers rather than just the 'primary' one.
   - iio_buffer_init - only set the watermark default if one hasn't already
     been provided. This allows simple support for devices with a fixed
     watermark.
   - read only attribute for watermark on fixed watermark devices.
   - add explicit buffer enable/disable callbacks to allow the buffer to
     do more than trivial actions when it is being turned on and off.
* IIO_VAL_INT support in write_raw_get_fmt function.

New device support
* Freescale MMA7455/7456L accelerometers
* Memsic MXC6255XC accelerometer
* ST lis2dh12 accelerometer
* TI ADS8688 ADC
* TI Palamas (twl6035/7) gpadc

New driver features
* mma8452
  - support either of the available interrupt pins to cope with the case
    where board layout has lead to a particular one being connected.

Staging graduation
* Dummy driver
  - this driver acts as both an example and a test device for those with
    out hardware to develop userspace code against.

Cleanups and minor bits and bobs.
* treewide
  - Sort out the ordering of iio_device_register/unregister vs runtime
    pm function calls so that it's all nice and consistent and not race
    prone.
  - Check sscanf return values. None of the cases will actually happen as
    the strings are supplied internally, but best to be consistent on this.
* ad7780
  - switch over to the gpio descriptor interface and remove the now unused
    platform data which gets rid of a header entirely.
* ad7793
  - drop a pointless else statement.
* at91_adc
  - Swap kmalloc_array in for a kmalloc doing the same job.
* dummy
  - get rid of some commented out lines that snuck in during the move of
    the driver.
* lm3533-als
  - Print an error message on provision of an invalid resistance.
* mcp320x
  - Add compatible strings with vendor prefix and deprecate those with
    no vendor prefix.
* mxs-lradc
  - Use BIT macro in various places rather than shifted ones.
* pa12203001
  - Power off the chip if the registration fails.
* pulsedlight-lidar-lite
  - add runtime PM support.
* xilinx XADC
  - constify an iio_buffer_setup_ops structure.

   - On s2mps15
	  WUDR -> bit[1], AUDR -> bit[4]
2> In case of s2mps13, for alarm register, need to set both
   WDUR and ADUR high, whereas for s2mps15 only set AUDR to high.

     to allow set_voltage() to work through a dumb switch and to improve

     minimising the voltage drop over the LDOs.

8a97d4287e mfd: sec-core: Disable buck voltage reset on watchdog falling edge
The WRSTBI bit (disabled by default but enabled by bootloader), when
set, is responsible for resetting voltages to default values of
certain bucks on falling edge of Warm Reset Input pin from AP.

However on some boards (with S2MPS13) the pin is pulled down so any
suspend will effectively trigger the reset of bucks supplying the power
to the little and big cores. In the same time when resuming, these bucks
must provide voltage greater or equal to voltage before suspend to match
the frequency chosen by cpufreq. If voltage (default value of voltage
after reset) is lower than one set by cpufreq before suspend, then
system will hang during resuming.

d785334a0d mfd: s2mps11: Add manual shutdown method for Odroid XU3
On Odroid XU3 board (with S2MPS11 PMIC) the PWRHOLD bit in CTRL1
register must be manually set to 0 before initiating power off sequence.

One of usual power down methods for Exynos based devices looks like:
1. PWRHOLD pin of PMIC is connected to PSHOLD of Exynos SoC.
2. Exynos holds up this pin during system operation.
3. ACOKB pin of PMIC is pulled up to VBATT and optionally to pin in
   other device.
4. When PWRHOLD/PSHOLD goes low, the PMIC will turn off the power if
   ACOKB goes high.

On Odroid XU3 family the difference is in (3) - the ACOKB is grounded.
This means that PMIC must manually set PWRHOLD field to low and then
wait for signal from Application Processor (the usual change in
PWRHOLD/PSHOLD pin will actually cut off the power).

The patch adds respective binding allowing Odroid XU3 device to be
powered off.

69fb4dcada power: Add an axp20x-usb-power driver
This adds a driver for the usb power_supply bits of the axp20x PMICs.

I initially started writing my own driver, before coming aware of
Bruno Prémont's excellent earlier RFC with a driver for this.

My driver was lacking CURRENT_MAX and VOLTAGE_MIN support Bruno's
drvier has, so I've copied the code for those from his driver.

Note that the AC-power-supply and battery charger bits will need separate
drivers. Each one needs its own devictree child-node so that other
devicetree nodes can reference the right power-supply, and thus each one
will get its own mfd-cell / platform_device and platform-driver.

abebcdfb64 Merge tag 'sound-4.3-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound
Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai:
 "There are little changes in core part, but lots of development are
  found in drivers, especially ASoC. The diffstat shows regmap-related
  changes for a slight API additions / changes, and that's all.

  Looking at the code size statistics, the most significant addition is
  for Intel Skylake. (Note that SKL support is still underway, the
  codec driver is missing.) Also STI controller driver is a major
  addition as well as a few new codec drivers.

  In HD-audio side, there are fewer changes than the past. The
  noticeable change is the support of ELD notification from i915
  graphics driver. Thus this pull request carries a few changes in
  drm/i915.

  Other than that, USB-audio got a rewrite of runtime PM code. It was
  initiated by lockdep warning, but resulted in a good cleanup in the
  end.

  Below are the highlights:

  Common:
   - Factoring out of AC'97 reset code from ASoC into the core helper
   - A few regmap API extensions (in case it's not pulled yet)

  ASoC:
   - New drivers for Cirrus CS4349, GTM601, InvenSense ICS43432, Realtek
     RT298 and ST STI controllers
   - Machine drivers for Rockchip systems with MAX98090 and RT5645 and
     RT5650
   - Initial driver support for Intel Skylake devices
   - Lots of rsnd cleanup and enhancements
   - A few DAPM fixes and cleanups
   - A large number of cleanups in various drivers (conversion and
     standardized to regmap, component) mostly by Lars-Peter and Axel

  HD-audio:
   - Extended HD-audio core for Intel Skylake controller support
   - Quirks for Dell headsets, Alienware 15
   - Clean up of pin-based quirk tables for Realtek codecs
   - ELD notifier implenetation for Intel HDMI/DP

  USB-audio:
   - Refactor runtime PM code to make lockdep happier"

420b54de25 mfd: watchdog: iTCO_wdt: Expose watchdog properties using platform data
Intel Sunrisepoint (Skylake PCH) has the iTCO watchdog accessible across
the SMBus, unlike previous generations of PCH/ICH where it was on the
LPC bus. Because it's on the SMBus, it doesn't make sense to pass around
a 'struct lpc_ich_info', and leaking the type of bus into the iTCO
watchdog driver is kind of backwards anyway.

This change introduces a new 'struct itco_wdt_platform_data' for use
inside the iTCO watchdog driver and by the upcoming Intel Sunrisepoint
code, which neatly avoids having to include lpc_ich headers in the i801
i2c driver.

This change is overdue because lpc_ich_info has already found its way
into other TCO watchdog users, notably the intel_pmc_ipc driver where
the watchdog actually isn't on the LPC bus as far as I can see.

A simple translation layer is provided for converting from the existing
'struct lpc_ich_info' inside the lpc_ich mfd driver.
