093a1468b6 SUNRPC: Fix locking around callback channel reply receive
Both xprt_lookup_rqst() and xprt_complete_rqst() require that you

a848080836 perf tools: Only override the default :tid comm entry
Events may still be ordered even if there are no timestamps e.g. if the
data is recorded per-thread.

Also synthesized COMM events have a timestamp of zero.

Consequently it is better to keep comm entries even if they have a
timestamp of zero.

However, when a struct thread is created the command string is not known
and a comm entry with a string of the form ":<tid>" is used.

In that case thread->comm_set is false and the comm entry should be
overridden.

f90d194a86 perf evlist: Do not poll events that use the system_wide flag
The system_wide flag causes a selected event to be opened always without
a pid.

Consequently it will never get a POLLHUP, but it is used for tracking in
combination with other events, so it should not need to be polled
anyway.

Therefore don't add it for polling.

Problem introduced in:

  commit 5b59166960 "perf report: Honor column width setting"

Where the left justification signal was after the width, which ended up,
when the width was, say, 11, always printing:

Instead of src:line left justified and limited to 11 chars.

Resulting in a like:

    70.93%  %11.11-s  [.] f2                     tcall

When it should instead be:

    70.93%  tcall.c:5    [.] f2                     tcall

e592488c01 perf annotate: Support source line numbers in annotate
With srcline key/sort'ing it's useful to have line numbers in the
annotate window. This patch implements this.

Use objdump -l to request the line numbers and save them in the line
structure. Then the browser displays them for source lines.

The line numbers are not displayed by default, but can be toggled on
with 'k'

There is one unfortunate problem with this setup. For lines not
containing source and which are outside functions objdump -l reports
line numbers off by a few: it always reports the first line number in
the next function even for lines that are outside the function.

I haven't found a nice way to detect/correct this. Probably objdump has
to be fixed.

The line numbers are still useful even with these problems, as most are
correct and the ones which are not are nearby.

v2: Fix help text. Handle (discriminator...) output in objdump.

2de217688e perf tools: Only print base source file for srcline
For perf report with --sort srcline only print the base source file
name. This makes the results generally fit much better to the screen.
The path is usually not that useful anyways because it is often from
different systems.

ee205503f2 perf tools: Fix annotation with kcore
Patch "perf tools: Fix build-id matching on vmlinux" breaks annotation
with kcore.  The problem is that symbol__annotate() first gets the
filename based on the build-id which was previously not set.

This patch provides a quick fix, however there should probably be only
one way to determine the filename. e.g.  symbol__annotate() should use
the same way as dso__data_fd().

162bcc17bb perf symbols: Fallback to kallsyms when using the minimal 'ELF' loader
The minimal ELF loader should not return 1 when it manages to read the
vmlinux build-id, it should instead return 0, meaning that it hasn't
loaded any symbols, since it doesn't parses ELF at all.

That way, the main symbol.c routines will understand that it is
necessary to continue looking for a file with symbols, and when no
libelf is linked, that means it will eventually try kallsyms.

5e2d4d0e88 perf tools: Clean up libelf feature support code
Current EXTLIBS contains -lelf by default and removes it when libelf is
not detected.

This is little bit confusing since we can now build perf without libelf
so there's no need to handle it differently than other libraries.

Fix handling of TTY error flags, which are not bitmasks and must
specifically not be ORed together as this prevents the line discipline
from recognising them.

6bab4a8a18 clockevent: sun4i: Fix race condition in the probe code
The interrupts were activated and the handler registered before the clockevent
was registered in the probe function.

The interrupt handler, however, was making the assumption that the clockevent
device was registered.

That could cause a null pointer dereference if the timer interrupt was firing
during this narrow window.

Fix that by moving the clockevent registration before the interrupt is enabled.

280ba51d60 mac80211: minstrel_ht: fix a crash in rate sorting
The commit 5935839ad7
"mac80211: improve minstrel_ht rate sorting by throughput & probability"

introduced a crash on rate sorting that occurs when the rate added to
the sorting array is faster than all the previous rates. Due to an
off-by-one error, it reads the rate index from tp_list[-1], which
contains uninitialized stack garbage, and then uses the resulting index
for accessing the group rate stats, leading to a crash if the garbage
value is big enough.

80646733f1 can: m_can: update to support CAN FD features
Bosch M_CAN is CAN FD capable device. This patch implements the CAN
FD features include up to 64 bytes payload and bitrate switch function.
1) Change the Rx FIFO and Tx Buffer to 64 bytes for support CAN FD
   up to 64 bytes payload. It's backward compatible with old 8 bytes
   normal CAN frame.
2) Allocate can frame or canfd frame based on EDL bit
3) Bitrate Switch function is disabled by default and will be enabled
   according to CANFD_BRS bit in cf->flags.

7660f63307 can: m_can: add missing delay after setting CCCR_INIT bit
The spec mentions there may be a delay until the value written to INIT can be
read back due to the synchronization mechanism between the two clock domains.
But it does not indicate the exact clock cycles needed. The 5us delay is a
test value and seems ok.

Without the delay, CCCR.CCE bit may fail to be set and then the initialization
fail sometimes when do repeatly up and down.

962845da54 can: m_can: add missing message RAM initialization
The M_CAN message RAM is usually equipped with a parity or ECC functionality.
But RAM cells suffer a hardware reset and can therefore hold arbitrary content
at startup - including parity and/or ECC bits.

To prevent the M_CAN controller detecting checksum errors when reading
potentially uninitialized TX message RAM content to transmit CAN frames the TX
message RAM has to be written with (any kind of) initial data.

746c9e9f92 of/base: Fix PowerPC address parsing hack
We have a historical hack that treats missing ranges properties as the
equivalent of an empty one. This is needed for ancient PowerMac "bad"
device-trees, and shouldn't be enabled for any other PowerPC platform,
otherwise we get some nasty layout of devices in sysfs or even
duplication when a set of otherwise identically named devices is
created multiple times under a different parent node with no ranges
property.

This fix is needed for the PowerNV i2c busses to be exposed properly
and will fix a number of other embedded cases.

ab74d00a39 of: Fix crash if an earlycon driver is not found
__earlycon_of_table_sentinel.compatible is a char[128], not a pointer, so
it will never be NULL.  Checking it against NULL causes the match loop to
run past the end of the array, and eventually match a bogus entry, under
the following conditions:

 - Kernel command line specifies "earlycon" with no parameters
 - DT has a stdout-path pointing to a UART node
 - The UART driver doesn't use OF_EARLYCON_DECLARE (or maybe the console
   driver is compiled out)

Fix this by checking to see if match->compatible is a non-empty string.

first") updated the description to say that:

  - Both 'interrupts' and 'interrupts-extended' may be present
  - Software should prefer 'interrupts-extended'
  - Software that doesn't comprehend 'interrupts-extended' may use
    'interrupts'

But there is still a paragraph at the end that prohibits having both and
says 'interrupts' should be preferred.

Remove the contradictory text.

When setting up permissions on kernel memory at boot, the end of the
PMD that was split from bss remained executable. It should be NX like
the rest. This performs a PMD alignment instead of a PAGE alignment to
get the correct span of memory.
