952ace797c Merge tag 'iommu-updates-v5.9' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/joro/iommu
Pull iommu updates from Joerg Roedel:

 - Remove of the dev->archdata.iommu (or similar) pointers from most
architectures. Only Sparc is left, but this is private to Sparc as
their drivers don't use the IOMMU-API.

 - ARM-SMMU updates from Will Deacon:

     - Support for SMMU-500 implementation in Marvell Armada-AP806 SoC

     - Support for SMMU-500 implementation in NVIDIA Tegra194 SoC

     - DT compatible string updates

     - Remove unused IOMMU_SYS_CACHE_ONLY flag

     - Move ARM-SMMU drivers into their own subdirectory

 - Intel VT-d updates from Lu Baolu:

     - Misc tweaks and fixes for vSVA

     - Report/response page request events

     - Cleanups

 - Move the Kconfig and Makefile bits for the AMD and Intel drivers into
   their respective subdirectory.

 - MT6779 IOMMU Support

 - Support for new chipsets in the Renesas IOMMU driver

 - Other misc cleanups and fixes (e.g. to improve compile test coverage)

f34ce7a701 iommu: Add gfp parameter to io_pgtable_ops->map()
Now the ARM page tables are always allocated by GFP_ATOMIC parameter,
but the iommu_ops->map() function has been added a gfp_t parameter by
commit 781ca2de89 ("iommu: Add gfp parameter to iommu_ops::map"),
thus io_pgtable_ops->map() should use the gfp parameter passed from
iommu_ops->map() to allocate page pages, which can avoid wasting the
memory allocators atomic pools for some non-atomic contexts.

b99773ef25 drm/panfrost: Fix inbalance of devfreq record_busy/idle()
The calls to panfrost_devfreq_record_busy() and
panfrost_devfreq_record_idle() must be balanced to ensure that the
devfreq utilisation is correctly reported. But there are two cases where
this doesn't work correctly.

In panfrost_job_hw_submit() if pm_runtime_get_sync() fails or the
WARN_ON() fires then no call to panfrost_devfreq_record_busy() is made,
but when the job times out the corresponding _record_idle() call is
still made in panfrost_job_timedout(). Move the call up to ensure that
it always happens.

Secondly panfrost_job_timedout() only makes a single call to
panfrost_devfreq_record_idle() even if it is cleaning up multiple jobs.
Move the call inside the loop to ensure that the number of
_record_idle() calls matches the number of _record_busy() calls.

bdefca2d8d drm/panfrost: Add the panfrost_gem_mapping concept
With the introduction of per-FD address space, the same BO can be mapped
in different address space if the BO is globally visible (GEM_FLINK)
and opened in different context or if the dmabuf is self-imported. The
current implementation does not take case into account, and attaches the
mapping directly to the panfrost_gem_object.

Let's create a panfrost_gem_mapping struct and allow multiple mappings
per BO.

The mappings are refcounted which helps solve another problem where
mappings were torn down (GEM handle closed by userspace) while GPU
jobs accessing those BOs were still in-flight. Jobs now keep a
reference on the mappings they use.

v2 (robh):
- Minor review comment clean-ups from Steven
- Use list_is_singular helper
- Just WARN if we add a mapping when madvise state is not WILLNEED.
With that, drop the use of object_name_lock.

v3 (robh):
- Revert returning list iterator in panfrost_gem_mapping_get()

73896f60d4 drm/panfrost: Prefix interrupt handlers' names
Currently, the interrupt lines requested by Panfrost
use unmeaningful names, which adds some obscurity
to interrupt introspection (i.e. any tool based
on procfs' interrupts file).

In order to improve this, prefix each requested
interrupt with the module name: panfrost-{gpu,job,mmu}.

a5f768239e drm/panfrost: Remove core stack power management
Explicit management of the GPU's core stacks is only necessary in the
case of a broken integration with the PDC. Since there are no known
platforms which have such a broken integration let's remove the explicit
control from the driver since this apparently causes problems on other
platforms and will have a small performance penality.

The out of tree mali_kbase driver contains this text regarding
controlling the core stack (CONFIGMALI_CORESTACK):

Enabling this feature on supported GPUs will let the driver powering
on/off the GPU core stack independently without involving the Power
Domain Controller. This should only be enabled on platforms which
integration of the PDC to the Mali GPU is known to be problematic.
This feature is currently only supported on t-Six and t-HEx GPUs.

  If unsure, say N.

22bd4df9da drm/panfrost: devfreq: Round frequencies to OPPs
Currently when setting a frequency in panfrost_devfreq_target the
returned frequency is the actual frequency that the clock driver reports
(the return of clk_get_rate()). However, where the provided OPPs don't
precisely match the frequencies that the clock actually achieves devfreq
will then complain (repeatedly):

devfreq devfreq0: Couldn't update frequency transition information.

To avoid this change panfrost_devfreq_target() to fetch the opp using
devfreq_recommened_opp() and not actually query the clock for the
frequency.

A similar problem exists with panfrost_devfreq_get_cur_freq(), but in
this case because the function is optional we can just remove it and
devfreq will fall back to using the previously set frequency.

f70744c687 drm/panfrost: Don't dereference bogus MMU pointers
It seems that killing an application while faults are occurring
(particularly with a GPU in FPGA at a whopping 40MHz) can lead to
handling a lingering page fault after all the address space contexts
have already been freed. In this situation, the LRU list is empty so
addr_to_drm_mm_node() ends up dereferencing the list head as if it were
a struct panfrost_mmu entry; this leaves "mmu->as" actually pointing at
the pfdev->alloc_mask bitmap, which is also empty, and given that the
fault has a high likelihood of being in AS0, hilarity ensues.

Sadly, the cleanest solution seems to involve another goto. Oh well, at

5b3ec8134f drm/panfrost: Handle resetting on timeout better
Panfrost uses multiple schedulers (one for each slot, so 2 in reality),
and on a timeout has to stop all the schedulers to safely perform a
reset. However more than one scheduler can trigger a timeout at the same
time. This race condition results in jobs being freed while they are
still in use.

When stopping other slots use cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure that
any timeout started for that slot has completed. Also use
mutex_trylock() to obtain reset_lock. This means that only one thread
attempts the reset, the other threads will simply complete without doing
anything (the first thread will wait for this in the call to
cancel_delayed_work_sync()).

While we're here and since the function is already dependent on
sched_job not being NULL, let's remove the unnecessary checks.

This means that only one thread
attempts the reset, the other threads will simply complete without doing
anything (the first thread will wait for this in the call to
cancel_delayed_work_sync()).

While we're here and since the function is already dependent on
sched_job not being NULL, let's remove the unnecessary checks.

603e398a3d drm/panfrost: Remove NULL check for regulator
devm_regulator_get() is used to populate pfdev->regulator which ensures
that this cannot be NULL (a dummy regulator will be returned if
necessary). So remove the check in panfrost_devfreq_target().

4092de1ba3 Merge drm/drm-next into drm-misc-next
We haven't done any backmerge for a while due to the merge window, and it
starts to become an issue for komeda. Let's bring 5.4-rc1 in.
